Disney's Business Insights and Technical Evaluation Team is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support business decision-making across various product lines, including sign-up and trade streams. Our team is dedicated to driving business growth through advanced analytics, data visualization, and statistical modeling. We're looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of analytical solutions that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive analyses, data visualizations, and multi-functional reports that provide critical support to operations and decision-making for sign-up and business product areas
- Answer key business questions and provide analytical expertise on various trade streams on D+ and Hulu to improve customer experience and increase conversions
- Advance the analytical capabilities of the business, collaborate on the design of analytical solutions, and deliver exceptional data insights and products
- Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data
- Apply descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, correlation, regression, factor analysis, etc.) to understand user behaviors and trends, and drive business impact
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Unbridled enthusiasm for data analysis and a passion for driving business results through data-driven insights
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
- 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics space with strong SQL, Python, or R skills for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with large datasets
- Experience delivering end-to-end analysis projects, from ambiguous requirements to compelling stories, accessible across multiple audiences, and ultimately to clear business outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and technical partners
- Ability to present to senior leadership and communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
Nice to Haves
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
- Proven data visualization skills with tools like Matplotlib, Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, etc.
- Experience with marketing landing pages, join channel, and business spaces
- Ability to identify and articulate issues to management
- Counseling background, MBA, or other multi-industry experience
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
