Responsibilities
- Lead the design, evolution, and modernization of enterprise database platforms across cloud and on-premises environments, with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and security
- Define database engineering standards, best practices, and automation approaches that improve operational consistency and accelerate delivery
- Partner with architecture, engineering, analytics, and product teams to deliver resilient database solutions aligned to business and technology priorities
- Drive performance tuning, capacity planning, high availability/disaster recovery, and complex issue resolution across critical database environments
- Mentor engineers and act as a thought leader, helping elevate engineering standards and modern database practices across the organization
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in database engineering, platform engineering, or data platform engineering within complex enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, including strong experience with Azure database services, database modernization, and cloud adoption
- Proven success in performance tuning, automation, HA/DR, security, and governance, with the ability to influence stakeholders and mentor technical teams
