The Finance Effectiveness Consultant role supports finance transformation projects by performing research, data analysis, and process improvement to help clients modernize their finance functions. This role involves close collaboration with senior team members to deliver impactful finance transformation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support project delivery by performing research, gathering data, and analyzing current-state processes
- Develop client-ready deliverables such as process maps, assessment summaries, and presentation materials
- Assist in interviews and workshops with client stakeholders to gather inputs and identify opportunities
- Help document future-state designs, business requirements, and action plans for implementation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality execution
- Participate in knowledge-sharing and professional development within the Finance Effectiveness team
Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in finance transformation, consulting, business transformation, finance, strategy, operations, and/or corporate finance
- Experience at a consulting or professional services firm delivering finance transformation, ERP/EPM, business transformation, or operational improvement engagements
- Experience with ERP, EPM, planning, or finance technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneStream, Workday, Anaplan, Hyperion, Power BI)
- Experience with core finance processes such as Record-to-Report (RTR), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, or financial close optimization
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, process mining, or digital finance technologies to improve finance processes or business operations
