Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Own and manage daily logistics operations across multiple data center locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of Google's hardware
- Develop, lead, and support cross-functional team initiatives and projects, applying your knowledge of supply chain principles and problem-solving skills
- Manage and monitor vendor performance scorecards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and development of business cases to support logistics process changes or improvements
- Identify opportunities for improvement in cost and/or quality of services, and develop business cases to present to stakeholders and management
- Manage relationships with multiple internal clients at data centers, applying your communication and interpersonal skills to build strong partnerships
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of experience in managing warehousing, manufacturing, or supply chain activities, with a strong understanding of logistics principles and practices
- Experience in project planning, business case development, influencing teams, presentations, and financial modeling, with a strong analytical mindset
- Experience in managing people in remote and regional areas, with a strong ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Certification in project management, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices
- Experience in operations management, problem-solving, Third-Party Logistics (3PL) vendor relationships, budget creation, and cost management, with a strong analytical mindset
- Ability to apply structured thinking and logic, and provide solutions to complex problems, with a strong ability to communicate and present findings
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to analyze data and develop insights to inform business decisions
