Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness and wellness stretch studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager and/or Studio Owner in overseeing studio operations, including sales, staff scheduling, and stretching sessions
- Exhibit leadership and superior client service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all clients
- Drive new and existing client membership sales through outside sales, lead generation, business development efforts, and client retention efforts
- Manage the staff schedule, ensuring adequate coverage and support for all studio activities
- Successfully resolve customer service challenges, providing timely and effective solutions to client concerns
- Assist the General Manager and/or Studio Owner in meeting performance metrics, revenue, inventory, and facility maintenance goals
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's marketing and social media efforts to promote the studio and brand
- Maintain a clean and tidy studio, adhering to the routine studio cleaning checklist and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all clients
- Oversee front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting clients, checking in clients, booking appointments, and addressing customer concerns
- Participate in marketing efforts outside of the studio and at community events, promoting the Stretch Zone brand and services
- Complete our comprehensive 80-hour training program, learning the Stretch Zone methodology and becoming proficient in our techniques
Essential Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the health, wellness, and fitness industry, with a background in sales, sports science, medicine, kinesiology, personal training, physical therapy, or massage therapy
- Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, with a minimum of 5 days per week (full or part-time available)
- Physical stamina to lift and move clients, with the ability to stand for up to 6-8 hours and perform exercises as needed
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information, with the ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment
- Proficient computer skills, with experience in managing staff schedules, sales, and customer service software
Preferred Qualifications
- Exercise, Health, or Recreational Science Degree, or a related field
- Experience as a Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, Sports Coach, Physical Therapist, PT Aide, Chiropractor, Pilates, Yoga Instructor, or Dance Instructor
- Proven track record of success in sales and customer service, with a strong affinity for the health, wellness, and fitness industry
- Experience in managing staff, with excellent leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of marketing and social media principles, with experience in promoting a brand or service
