Virtual Tutor/Teacher---All subjects

Job Summary The Question Center is a small school community in Florida. Currently hosting approximately 60 students in-person, we have expanded our services to offer online classes, tutoring, homeschool assistance, fun academic courses and live school for all students. Teachers/tutors need to be available to teach during eastern standard time, although you may be located anywhere. The hours most needed are from 8am est. to 9 pm est. Classes are offered Monday-Sunday. Teachers/tutors pick the hours they are available for classes. There are no guaranteed hours at this time and tutoring or teaching will be on an as needed basis. Teachers and tutors are considered independent contractors and will receive a 1099. Duties • Deliver live, interactive online lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles in subjects such as English language arts, math, science , or special education. • Design and develop engaging curricula and lesson plans that align with educational standards and student objectives. • Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to enhance instruction and facilitate active participation. • Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and feedback sessions; adjust teaching methods accordingly. • Support students with diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring inclusive and accessible learning experiences. • Manage virtual classrooms effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging participation, and fostering a positive environment. • Communicate clearly with students and parents or guardians regarding progress, challenges, and next steps to promote ongoing engagement. Skills • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching across various age groups and educational settings. • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques. • Proficiency with learning technology platforms and online instruction tools. • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate learners. • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and special needs. • Experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in early childhood education is highly desirable. • Familiarity with classroom management principles for virtual environments. • Knowledge of child development principles, childcare practices, and adult education methodologies.
