Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Video Editor who can do more than just cut clips. The ideal candidate has a strong visual storytelling ability and a strategic mindset for social media content. You'll be responsible for producing engaging, on-brand video content and planning how its distributed and promoted across social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing
Edit short-form and long-form video content for social media, YouTube, websites, ads, etc.
Add motion graphics, transitions, music, and sound effects that enhance storytelling.
Optimize video formats for different platforms (IG Reels, TikTok, YT Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn).
Maintain consistent branding and high production quality across all video content.
Social Media Content Strategy
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute content calendars.
Develop video strategies aligned with platform trends, audience behavior, and brand voice.
Recommend content angles, hashtags, and posting schedules based on insights and analytics.
Monitor engagement metrics to improve future content performance.
Keep up with social media trends and apply best practices for growth and visibility.
Collaboration
Work closely with graphic designers, copywriters, and social media managers.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaign and content ideas.
Provide creative input in project briefings and pitch your own ideas.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Video Editor (1-2+ years preferred).
Strong portfolio of edited videos and successful social media campaigns.
Proficient in editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, CapCut, or similar.
Knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn.
Solid understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and audience psychology.
Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail.
⭐ Nice to Have:
Graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
Experience with video ads (FB/IG/YT/LinkedIn campaigns).
Background in marketing or digital advertising.
Ability to shoot or direct video content is a plus.
