About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accountant with expertise in property management accounting. The ideal candidate is a U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with at least 3+ years of senior-level accounting experience in the real estate/property management industry, including direct U.S. accounting experience. This role is client-facing, requiring excellent communication skills to collaborate with property owners, managers, and stakeholders while ensuring accurate financial management. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and manage daily accounting operations for property management portfolios. • Prepare and review financial statements, monthly reports, and variance analyses. • Handle bank, tenant ledger, and general ledger reconciliations. • Ensure full compliance with U.S. GAAP and property management accounting standards. • Communicate directly with clients, providing financial updates and addressing inquiries. • Collaborate with property managers, owners, and external auditors. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices. Qualifications • U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred. • Minimum 3 years of U.S. accounting experience (must-have). • At least 3 years of senior-level accounting experience in property management. • Strong knowledge of accounting software and property management systems (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium). • Proven client communication and relationship management skills. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience managing multi-property portfolios or working with HOAs/real estate/property management firms. • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools. • CPA or additional certifications are a strong advantage.
