Responsibilities:
- Assist kindergarten teacher with classroom needs, working with young children
- Assist with organization of classroom materials and supplies
- Assist with preparing instructional materials for student activities
- Work with young children in small groups
- Respect the confidentiality of student information and not discuss them outside of the classroom
- Handout papers, crafts that go home with the students
- Refer all parent concerns and questions about any student's progress to the teacher
- Escort students from classroom to other classes such as Gym, Music, Art, Library
- Associate's degree or evidence of having passed the Para-Pro Assessment
- Ability to communicate and interact with young children in a positive manner, with sensitivity to their needs
- Good organizational skills
- Flexibility
- A sense of humor
- A formal letter of application addressed to Kimberly Fox Santora, Principal
- Resume
- Three letters of recommendation
- Internal applicants need only write a letter of interest to the principal outlining his/her qualifications for the position
