Your Role: Software Engineering Intern - Electronic Board Systems (EBS)
As a Software Engineering Intern with our Electronic Board Systems (EBS) team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the PartQuest Explore website, a comprehensive platform for electronic and mechatronic circuits and systems design, modeling, simulation, and analysis. You'll work on cutting-edge projects, including the High-Performance Computing (HPC) project, aimed at enhancing cloud computing capabilities for premium users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop both client-side and server-side code for the PartQuest Explore website, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate closely with a Senior Software Engineer on the High-Performance Computing (HPC) project to enable premium users to fully leverage cloud resources for their simulations.
- Gain hands-on experience configuring multiple Azure resources and integrating them with server-side code, enhancing your cloud computing skills.
- Participate actively in group discussions and brainstorming sessions with our dynamic team, contributing your ideas and perspectives.
- Explore and contribute to other areas of the project based on interest, such as implementing machine learning algorithms to assist users in design editing.
- Bring creativity and innovative thinking to enhance the functionality and user experience of PartQuest Explore.
Essential Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a university student (undergraduate or graduate) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information, or a similar major.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrating academic excellence.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current sponsorship by the company.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote setting, with the ability to manage your time effectively.
- Some experience with .NET, C#, and/or TypeScript, with a willingness to learn and expand your technical skillset.
- Basic familiarity with Azure and cloud computing concepts, or a keen interest in learning.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to approach challenges with a logical and methodical mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed at least the Freshman year of undergraduate studies, with a solid foundation in computer science principles.
- Demonstrated passion for software development and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their application in design editing or similar fields.
