Job Description: Social Media Specialist Division / Department: Marketing Reports to (position): Sr. Marketing Manager Level / Grade: Professional Location: Remote (Denver area preferred) Employment Type: Full Time (Exempt) Work Conditions: Remote Office Environment Travel: Minimal (up to 10%) Telecommute: Yes Minimum Educational Requirement: Associate’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) Years of Experience: 2+ years of progressively responsible experience in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy About the Role We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and trend-aware Social Media Specialist to lead The CE Shop’s organic social media presence. In this role, you will serve as the business owner for organic social strategy, exercising independent judgment to align social media initiatives with broader marketing goals, brand strategy, and business priorities. You will oversee and direct external agency partners and collaborate cross-functionally to translate integrated marketing plans into effective, platform-specific social strategies. This position plays a key role in influencing campaign performance by delivering insights, identifying opportunities, and recommending strategic adjustments based on data and market trends. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content planning with increasing responsibility. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions that impact content strategy, campaign alignment, and performance outcomes. Strong understanding of social media platforms and how content strategy varies across each. Experience using analytics and performance data to inform recommendations and strategy adjustments. Ability to manage external vendors or agency partners and provide clear strategic direction. Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to align messaging to brand and business objectives. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple strategic priorities simultaneously. Basic familiarity with paid social platforms (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) and how paid and organic strategies integrate.
