Profile Requirements:
What You'll Bring
3-5+ years' SEO experience, the majority of it agency-side across multiple clients and verticals at once
Hands-on experience with Search Atlas (or a comparable enterprise SEO platform), and comfortable building AI tools into daily SEO workflow
Strong fundamentals across technical SEO, on-page, off-page/link building, local SEO, keyword research and competitor analysis
Genuinely across the AI search landscape (AI Overviews, AEO, GEO, LLM visibility) and curious enough to keep up as it keeps changing
Comfortable briefing and collaborating with content writers, even though you're not writing the content yourself
Confident with GA4, Google Search Console, GTM and rank tracking tools
Strong communicator, able to explain SEO decisions in plain language to clients and colleagues who aren't SEO specialists
Inquisitive and proactive - happy to test, get it wrong sometimes, and adjust
The right attitude: ownership mentality, no ego, comfortable building a function rather than inheriting one
Nice to Have
Experience with GoHighLevel (Google Business Profile management, building automations, pipeline/lead tracking)
Experience running or collaborating on Google Ads campaigns
Experience in regulated or reputation-sensitive industries (financial services, healthcare, professional services)
Working knowledge of WordPress
Core responsibilities:
Research & Strategy
Lead discovery on each client's market, competitors and audience before any SEO plan is written
Build keyword research, topical maps and SEO strategies tailored to each client's vertical and goals
Translate strategy into clear, plain-language roadmaps clients can actually act on
SEO Audits & Technical Health
Run full technical and on-page audits — site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data/schema, internal linking
Prioritise fixes and work with developers and the website team to ship them
On-Page & Content Collaboration
Brief and guide content writers so content is built for search intent, topical authority and E-E-A-T (not just keyword density)
Own on-page optimisation (titles, meta data, headings, schema, internal linking) across client sites
Off-Page & Local SEO
Develop link-building and digital PR strategies built on genuine authority, not volume
Manage local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation, particularly for local bricks and mortar business clients
AI Search & Innovation
Track AI Overviews, AEO, GEO and conversational/generative search, and turn that into strategy clients can use before competitors catch on
Use Search Atlas (including OTTO AI automation) and other AI SEO tools to speed up technical fixes, content optimisation and reporting - with a human, bespoke check on every output
Bring new tools and ideas to the team; this role is built on curiosity, not box-ticking
Reporting & Ongoing Maintenance
Track rankings, traffic and visibility (GA4, Search Console, rank tracking) and report on it honestly - no vanity metrics
Be adept in setting up and advising on conversion tracking with experience in CRO a bonus (you should be able to set up events in GTM)
Maintain ongoing technical and content health across all client sites, month to month
