About the Role
We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Designer to join the Customer Experience & Integrity (CXI) Design team. This team owns the end‑to‑end experience for support, fraud prevention, trust & safety, and internal tools. Your focus will be the customer‑facing side of the marketplace, designing for three distinct user groups – consumers, merchants, and independent contractors (often called “Dashers”). You will dive deep into each journey, uncover hidden pain points, and craft elegant solutions that delight users while driving key business metrics.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the full product design lifecycle from discovery to launch, shaping strategy, running design sprints, and defining a compelling vision.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business goals into intuitive user experiences.
- Develop clear, persuasive narratives that articulate product opportunities, user needs, and design rationale to senior leadership.
- Create and iterate on user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity visual designs that meet both functional and aesthetic standards.
- Champion design consistency across the marketplace, ensuring that the look and feel of consumer, merchant, and contractor interfaces feel cohesive yet tailored to each audience.
- Conduct usability testing, gather quantitative and qualitative feedback, and apply insights to refine solutions.
- Mentor junior designers, share best practices, and help raise the overall design maturity of the CXI team.
- Influence product roadmaps by presenting data‑backed design recommendations that balance user delight with business impact.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional product design experience, preferably in a high‑growth, consumer‑facing technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and translate them into clear, actionable design solutions.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end design work that includes research, interaction design, visual design, and prototype delivery.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping platforms (e.g., InVision, Axure, ProtoPie).
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment, delivering high‑quality designs on tight timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Deep empathy for users, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for crafting polished visual experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in designing for multi‑sided marketplaces, especially those involving consumer‑merchant‑contractor dynamics.
- Hands‑on experience with design systems and component libraries, ensuring scalability across products.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and a track record of building inclusive experiences.
- Knowledge of data‑driven design, including A/B testing, metrics analysis, and iteration based on performance data.
- Experience working on fraud detection, trust & safety, or support‑related products.
- Leadership experience, such as guiding design teams or spearheading cross‑department initiatives.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, align design decisions with business objectives, and anticipate future needs.
- Research Acumen: Conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to uncover insights that drive design direction.
- Interaction Design: Crafting intuitive flows that reduce friction and guide users toward successful outcomes.
- Visual Design: Producing pixel‑perfect, brand‑aligned visuals that enhance usability and delight.
