As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the foundation that powers our engineering organization. You’ll design, define, and evolve the platforms, standards, and automation that enable teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. This is a highly impactful role where your architecture decisions will influence how engineering teams build, deploy, and operate across the enterprise.
In this role you'll
Architect platform “golden paths,” self-service provisioning frameworks, and reusable reference implementations
Lead platform architecture reviews, technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and toolchain investment decisions
Design and implement enterprise policy-as-code frameworks using Azure Policy and Ansible Automation Platform
Define RBAC models, network segmentation strategies, secrets management practices, and zero-trust architectures
Develop Ansible content strategies, reusable module libraries, and workflow orchestration using Tower/AWX
Establish enterprise observability architecture, including telemetry standards, monitoring configuration, and alerting strategies
Define and govern SLO/SLI frameworks and error budgets across platforms
Lead incident response for platform-level issues, including postmortems and corrective actions
Drive reliability engineering practices such as chaos engineering and resilience validation
Architect infrastructure that supports AI/ML workloads including model serving, monitoring, and registry governance
Partner cross-functionally with system, cloud, network, and application teams to design scalable automation workflows
Define multi-region cloud strategies, including active/active and active/passive configurations and workload placement
Mentor fellow engineers and serve as a technical escalation point for complex platform challenges
What we're looking for
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Required). An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
You have 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud architecture, or infrastructure automation at enterprise scale (Required)
You have experience working in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries (Preferred)
You hold advanced certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) (Preferred)
What helps you shine
You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence architecture and engineering standards across teams
You have deep expertise in Azure cloud architecture, including landing zones, governance, and FinOps practices
You are highly proficient in Ansible, including module design, role standardization, and enterprise automation frameworks
You have strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
You have advanced experience with Kubernetes platform engineering, including multi-tenant governance and Helm architecture
You excel in designing observability systems using tools like New Relic and OpenTelemetry
You have a strong background in security architecture, including secrets management, vulnerability integration, and compliance frameworks
You bring experience or strong interest in AI/ML platform architecture, including model serving, monitoring, and lifecycle governance
You understand cost optimization and cloud financial management through advanced FinOps practices

Compensation & Benefits
Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $117,000 - $155,000
