About the Position
blithequark is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to join its Cards, Retail, and Merchant Services (CRMS) Operations Analytics team. This critical role will focus on solving complex problems, conducting analyses, delivering insights, and developing metrics and reporting to identify opportunities and execute key initiatives. The primary objectives include optimizing customer collections methods and operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading process development, and enhancing risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted consultant to management, developing or influencing analytical approaches for complex business and technical needs.
- Strategically engage, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and all levels of professionals across the organization, serving as a subject matter expert to management.
- Lead the analysis and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges, providing long-term, large-scale solutions that require vision, innovation, and coordination of complex activities, including Business Intelligence and self-service solutions.
- Provide vision, direction, and guidance to senior management on implementing innovative and large-scale business solutions that align with the company's objectives.
- Lead significant initiatives, teams, and/or mentor or manage less experienced staff, interns, and external contractors.
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling, or Statistics, or equivalent experience proven through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree or skill proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), SAS, Python, SQL Server development using Management Studio, Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services.
- Experience working with multiple database systems, including Oracle, DB2, and Teradata.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry with an emphasis on Consumer Lending, including Collections, Servicing, Small Business Lending, Credit Card, Retail Services, Personal Lending, and Deposit products.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to research, trend/analyze, synthesize, and perform complex analysis on critical data, then summarize and recommend new approaches and solutions based on those findings.
- Excellent presentation skills to tell a story tailored to audiences with diverse backgrounds via BI and other mediums backed by strong analytics and data.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work independently.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to analyze complex data while paying attention to details and accuracy.
- Experience building partnerships and engaging with other businesses and functional areas.
- Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and implement change or suggest solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are essential.
