Senior Database Administrator

Job Description: • Ensure database security and authentication. • Design and implement least privilege and encryption on all databases. • Develop and enforce database documentation standards. • Manage and implement database replication and high availability. • Maintain and improve existing backup and data recovery environment. • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in regular testing. • Install and Upgrade database environment. • Manage database migrations between systems, versions, or platforms. • Query and database tuning. • Database resource management and reporting. • Perform Root Cause Analysis on database incidents and provide preventative solutions. • Monitor database performance metrics and resolve issues proactively. • Collaborate with teams to optimize queries. • Perform on call rotation. • Maintain and develop various database scripts and tools to facilitate automation process. • Automate routine database maintenance tasks to improve efficiency. • Evaluate database requests for implementation. • Provide status reports and submit them to management. • Provide training and mentorship to others. • Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent GED. • Minimum of ten (10) years of current related database administration experience in Oracle Server, Mongo, MSSQL, Maria and Postgres Databases. • Experience in UNIX, LINUX, and Windows OS. • Scripting experience using command, batch, or like processes. • Ability to work with large volume databases. • Ability to understand data models. • Knowledge of data visualization and data migration • Additional Knowledge preferences: o Azure SQL Server Administration. o Azure Synapse. o Dynamics data models.
