About blithequark and the Role
blithequark is a leading company in the pet industry, dedicated to providing top-notch products and services to pet owners. As a Senior CRM Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, executing, and measuring promotional and triggered email, push, and in-app campaigns that increase customer engagement and drive incremental sales. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize and launch automated email programs, segmentation, and personalization strategies across various channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a multi-channel roadmap focused on email campaigns to drive the food business at blithequark, emphasizing customer lifecycle marketing.
- Design and execute complex A/B and multivariate testing across emails and journeys to determine incrementality and optimal sequencing, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal product marketing resources to ensure technical steps are taken for list selection, segmentation, and tracking, guaranteeing accurate targeting.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of different data streams to validate targeting correctness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build sensitivity models to assess the opportunity and risk associated with proposed initiatives, informing strategic decisions.
- Work closely with the experimentation team to craft a strategic vision and roadmap for automation, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Leverage CRM data to create personalized and contextual experiences that increase customer engagement and drive sales growth.
- Manage reporting requests and ongoing analyses for campaign performance, providing key insights and strategic learnings to stakeholders.
- Foster a customer-first approach to all experiences, ensuring that customer needs are at the forefront of marketing strategies.
- Effectively partner with various teams, including integrated marketing, engineering, product management, merchandising, and supply chain, to drive cohesive marketing efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with email and push best practices, technologies, and trends, applying this knowledge to optimize marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with data science and experimentation teams to develop and implement advanced customer segmentation models, enhancing audience targeting.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A passion for customer-centric marketing, backed by a proven track record of driving successful marketing campaigns.
- 7+ years of experience in email and/or direct marketing, preferably in e-commerce.
- A Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree being a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and identify insights through data.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing campaigns through an enterprise ESP (ideally Braze).
- A deep understanding of how to enable behavioral, demographic, and transactional data to drive personalization.
- Experience with email optimization and personalization platforms, as well as project management tools like JIRA.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly articulate information that influences data-driven business decisions.
- The ability to operate independently and efficiently, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Proven experience in an email management function, with outstanding attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and other data analytics tools.
- Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP).
- Understanding of incrementality testing, statistical significance, and lifetime value.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- E-commerce or CPG marketing background.
- Experience working with Braze or Moveable Ink.
- Knowledge of the pet food industry.
