Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy and Creation: Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy for external channels, including websites, emails, and other communications. Create high-quality, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences and aligns with Amazon's brand voice principles.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product owners, public relations, and public policy teams to ensure that content is accurate, informative, and meets Amazon's writing standards.
- Content Management: Lead content analysis with senior management and customer loyalty program teams to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize content performance.
- Writing and Editing: Write and edit business materials, including blog articles, newsletters, and other content, to ensure that they meet Amazon's writing standards and are free of errors in grammar, style, and tone.
- Presentation Development: Serve as a keynote speaker to company executives, driving the production and delivery of compelling presentations, including slides, speeches, scripts, and customer testimonials.
- Expert Network Development: Identify and establish contacts with internal and external experts to assist in content creation and provide subject matter expertise.
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in communications, journalism, or a related field, with a strong background in content creation and/or publishing.
- Writing and Editing Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create high-quality, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- AP Style and CMS Tools: Knowledge and comfort with writing in AP style, and experience using CMS tools to create and manage content.
- Brand Voice Principles: Deep understanding of writing for target audience groups and applying brand voice principles to create content that aligns with Amazon's brand values and messaging.
- Strong Content Creation Background: Strong content creation and/or publishing background, with the ability to develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in English, technical, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Global Team Experience: Experience working with global teams and colleagues, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across cultures and time zones.
- Agile Content Development: Experience working in an agile content development environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Markup Languages: Experience with markup languages, such as HTML or XML, and the ability to apply this knowledge to create high-quality, engaging content.
- Action-Oriented: Strong penchant for action, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
