About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking telecommunications giant, is actively seeking an experienced Senior 5G Network Operations Manager to lead their remote network operations center (NOC) team. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, performance, and reliability of the company's cutting-edge 5G network infrastructure. You will lead a team of highly skilled network engineers and technicians, ensuring seamless service delivery and rapid response to any network incidents. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in managing large-scale wireless networks, a deep understanding of 5G technologies, and exceptional leadership capabilities. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute from anywhere while managing a distributed team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a remote team of 5G network operations engineers and technicians. Oversee the continuous monitoring and proactive management of the 5G network infrastructure. Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices for network stability and performance. Manage incident response and resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to services. Collaborate with network engineering, field operations, and planning teams to address network issues and drive improvements. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for network operations. Manage vendor relationships for network monitoring and management tools. Develop and execute training programs for the NOC team. Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Network Operations Center. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in telecommunications network operations, with a significant focus on wireless technologies. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams in a network operations environment. Deep understanding of 5G architecture, including RAN, Core, and transport networks. Proven experience with network monitoring, fault management, and performance analysis tools. Strong knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting methodologies. Experience with cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and virtualization is a plus. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
