Reporting to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs within the Office of the Provost, the current mission of the Office of Teaching and Learning is to support faculty in the advancement of transformative, inclusive, and impactful teaching and learning across all disciplines and modalities to actualize DU's educational promise to all students. The OTL provides central faculty development support focusing on advancing skills in course design, inclusive teaching, effective university-level pedagogy, and academic assessment.

Position Summary:

The Director for Inclusive Teaching Practices reports to the Assistant Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning in the Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL) and provides proactive and responsive leadership, direction, and programming that advances the University of Denver's commitment to inclusive excellence and inclusive pedagogy. The Director for Inclusive Teaching Practices is charged with creating, implementing, and assessing strategic faculty development opportunities, online resources, and providing consultations for faculty members, academic administrators, academic departments, and allied offices.

This is a full-time (12 month) staff position with full benefits. The Director of Inclusive Teaching Practices will collaborate with the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and other allied offices to lead curricular and classroom-level efforts related to our values of creating an inclusive community of care.

Essential Functions:

Inclusive Teaching Faculty Development Programming and Resources Proactive, Responsive and Reactive Faculty & Administration Support

Real-time confidential teaching and learning support for faculty members and academic departments; real-time consultative support to academic leaders to advance DU's commitment to inclusive excellence: Collaboration within and outside the OTL

The Director supports OTL staff and the Assistant Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning in initiating and sustaining collaborative relationships and projects, among and between OTL staff and university faculty. Inclusive Teaching National Trends and Practices

Stay abreast of national trends and practices by participating in national conferences and engaging in research necessary to share DU's achievements around inclusive teaching with the broader academic community: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, occasional evenings and weekends. This is an on-campus position, with the expectation that the person hired will reside in or relocate to the Denver metro area. OTL staff may work remotely for up to two days a week when the nature of the work allows (after an initial period of working fully on-site).

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 14.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting.
