They are seeking a Software Engineer I (Full-Stack) to drive impact across their enterprise platform, focusing on coding, architectural design, and the complete application lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Writes code, debugs and performs unit testing in all application layers and data access layer in accordance with RoadRunner’s technical standards
- Participates in code reviews with manager to ensure accurate code and design techniques are being used and to further technical knowledge
- Assist in the full software lifecycle activities including project planning, requirement analysis, design, development, quality assurance and documentation
Skills
- Proficiency in full stack web development
- At least 1 year of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and with a modern Frontend Framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Basic understanding of database design and querying, including knowledge of SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong sense of curiosity and openness to using different technologies and continuing to strengthen their technical skill set
- Comfort with ambiguity, ability to act without having the whole picture using sound judgment and strong decision-making skills
- Passionate about business results and quality, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership
- Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task and effectively prioritize conflicting assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels and across all functions of the organization
- Proven ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business needs
- Strong analytical and problem solving. Solid decision making in a timely manner
