The role involves leading SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM implementations and driving warehouse transformation initiatives while providing strategic guidance and technical leadership across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM implementations from strategy through production support
- Drive end-to-end warehouse transformation initiatives utilizing SAP Activate methodology (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run)
- Define future-state warehouse operating models aligned with business objectives
- Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops while promoting SAP Clean Core principles
- Provide strategic guidance throughout digital warehouse modernization initiatives
- Design and configure SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions supporting:
- Inbound Logistics
- Outbound Processing
- Internal Warehouse Movements
- Physical Inventory
- Cross-Docking
- Wave Management
- Slotting & Rearrangement
- Labor Management
- Resource Management
- Yard Management
- Configure RF Framework, PPF, Warehouse Monitor, and Warehouse Control processes
- Design serialized inventory management supporting Aerospace & Defense requirements
- Implement batch-controlled inventory and regulatory compliance processes
- Integrate SAP EWM with:
- SAP MM
- SAP SD
- SAP PP
- SAP QM
- SAP TM
- External Warehouse Control Systems
- Support integrations utilizing:
- CIF
- QRFC
- IDocs
- APIs
- Lead warehouse automation integrations including:
- Carousel Systems
- Vertical Lift Modules (VLM)
- Conveyor Systems
- Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS)
- AGVs
- Robotics
- Lead global implementation workstreams across multiple business units
- Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and program governance
- Manage RAID logs, project risks, dependencies, KPIs, and executive reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and Operations
- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Operate within hybrid Agile project environments
- Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, user stories, and defect management using Jira
- Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through KPI analysis and warehouse optimization
- Champion AI-oriented warehouse transformation initiatives
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven inventory optimization, predictive analytics, warehouse automation, and intelligent logistics
- Provide thought leadership around Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and digital supply chain transformation
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate emerging AI technologies that enhance warehouse efficiency and operational excellence
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 8–12+ years of SAP EWM implementation and consulting experience
- Multiple full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations
- Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management processes and logistics execution
- Experience within Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of serialized inventory management
- Experience supporting ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience configuring RF Framework, PPF, Resource Management, and Warehouse Execution
- Strong SAP integration experience across MM, SD, PP, QM, and TM
- Experience integrating warehouse automation technologies
- Strong Agile delivery experience utilizing Jira
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead enterprise transformation programs
- Willingness to travel approximately 50%
