Point of Rental Software is a global leader in rental software, focused on enabling rental businesses worldwide to operate efficiently with their POR Elite platform. The Senior Implementation Consultant will lead end-to-end product implementations, deliver tailored training programs, and ensure successful software adoption for clients, while collaborating with internal teams and managing projects independently.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end Elite product implementation for POR clients, including project management, configuration, training delivery, and data integrity validation
- Lead client discovery calls to understand business goals, workflows, and operational needs - then translate those into a tailored implementation approach
- Design and deliver high-quality training programs (primarily online via Zoom, Teams, or similar) that drive real software adoption, not just checkbox completion
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to continuously improve training content, delivery methods, and effectiveness
- Monitor project plans, track milestone progress, and communicate implementation status clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Resolve client issues during implementation with creative, out-of-the-box thinking - showing each customer how to use the POR suite to actually accomplish their goals
- Prepare best practices dossiers by industry and deliver consulting material aligned to POR consultancy standards
- Identify opportunities for additional consulting services and coordinate with the appropriate internal teams for follow-up
- Proactively develop and maintain expertise in the full Point of Rental suite, staying current on new features, industry trends, and best practices
- Work independently and manage your own day-to-day activities with strong organizational accountability
Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the equipment or party/event rental industry
- 3+ years delivering training on web-based software solutions, including webinars and virtual classroom environments
- Demonstrated ability to interpret customer goals and business operations and translate them into practical software adoption strategies
- High proficiency in training, coaching, and consultative leadership - you make complex things click for people
- Strong project management instincts - you track your own milestones and don't let things fall through the cracks
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency across training delivery methods: virtual, classroom, and computer-based
- Ability to travel domestically as needed (less than 20%)
- Knowledge of SQL or database structures for data validation support
- Prior experience with Point of Rental software
