Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Solve IT Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage various financial functions. The role involves planning and coordinating financial operations, supporting audits and budgets, and providing internal consultancy on projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, controlling, and the implementation of certain financial functions
- Research accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding the appropriate treatment of accounting issues
- Support annual audit, annual budget, and required tax filings, and must have operational competency in all three areas
- Perform a lead role on projects, acting as an internal consultant when appropriate
- Review the work of other Accountants
- Maintain important key external relationships and exercise independent judgment and experience to accomplish goals
Skills
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required
- 4+ years of relatable accounting experience
- At least 3 years of experience using Workday Financials required
- Deep, hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including active use in General Ledger, Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting
- Proven ability to support and execute Month-end close, Balance sheet reconciliations, Financial reporting and analysis within Workday
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including Accruals, Adjusting entries, Reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations
