Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Curi is a full-service advisory firm focused on healthcare, and they are seeking a Risk Consultant with extensive knowledge of medical liability insurance. In this role, you will support clients in operating efficient organizations, reducing malpractice risks, and managing adverse events.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated consultant for risk advice to assigned clients in designated region
- Build relationships proactively with identified clients by offering custom services such as risk assessments, strategic risk management plans, tools and resource development or staff education
- Determine client needs with leadership coaching by assessing client risk profile and aligning risk strategies to promote initiatives beneficial to the organization
- Organize, plan and facilitate risk assessments to identify malpractice risk exposures for Curi clients
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings (e.g. prospect, pre-renewal, annual service review) with key Curi teams for identified clients
- Understand and share data trends in malpractice risk for assigned client segment (e.g. hospital/healthcare, physician, senior living)
- Serve as the Risk On-call consultant as scheduled on a monthly rotation
- Support other Risk Solutions consultant team members as needed
- Document client services in client relationship management platform
- Develop and deliver risk resources that are actionable and provide value to Curi’s varied client base
- Produce and present educational programs to identified clients, including virtual or in-person as needed
- Align all content to Curi’s mission, brand, and client need
- Collaborate with internal teams on client needs, risk concerns, new business ventures, retention strategies, and client meetings as necessary
- Participate as needed on interdepartmental meetings (e.g. Claims Review Committee, Underwriting Roundtable, Account Services Team)
- Collaborate with internal teams on education content for client outreach and opportunities to deliver risk education programs at state, regional or national levels
- Demonstrate expertise in risk management data, industry trends, and thought leadership
- Attend conferences, seminars or webinars related to risk management or medical practice topics
- Share knowledge with consultant team members and incorporate information into risk resources as applicable
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, nursing degree or equivalent work experience
- Four years of risk consultant experience in medical malpractice
- Experience preparing and presenting healthcare educational offerings to physician practices, hospitals or senior living facilities
