The Kitchen North America is an integrated media agency, and they are seeking a Retail Media Strategy Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of retailer relationships. This role involves developing media strategies, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of retail media campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of retail media campaigns across a variety of networks, primarily within Walmart Connect
- Plan for annual, quarterly and campaign-specific initiatives, as directed by client’s priorities throughout the year
- Ensuring day to day success of both managed service and self service campaigns, including on time delivery, correct placements/audiences and client-directed KPIs are met
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships by deeply understanding their challenges, objectives, and long-term vision
- Collaborate closely across the C&C Media team to shape tactical campaign plans and ensure seamless execution of self service campaigns
- Serve as a point of contact for clients & vendors ensuring all communications and deliverables align with client needs and expectations
- Contribute to agency success as a leader within media team, providing strategic input and operational guidance to be used across all clients
- Compile data, write insights and deliver key reports to clients, including pacing, performance and quarterly strategic reviews
- Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to clients, leveraging data from campaign performance
- Supports projects by managing timelines, developing project plans, and working collaboratively across C&C teams to meet deadlines
- Prepare and compile agendas and materials for internal, client and vendor meetings
- Updates and manages internal and partner facing communications to share progress and challenges in a timely and succinct way
- Create measurement plans, aligning client goals to media KPIs that can be tracked throughout campaign duration, and after a campaign has ended
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in retail media planning or strategy, performance marketing, or media buying
- Proven experience leading multiple clients or a portfolio of accounts in a media agency environment
- Strong experience navigating the Walmart Ad Center (if you live it, we love it) and have earned Walmart Connect Ad Certifications
- Deep understanding of the retail media ecosystem, including Walmart (WMC & Scintilla), Programmatic (TTD), Social (Meta, TikTok) and Amazon. Additional retailers and eComm understanding a plus
- Understanding of Retail Search ecosystem & capabilities across most major retailers and grocers
- Proven track record designing and presenting executive-ready media plans, reports and QBRs
- Strong data literacy — able to interpret performance trends, work with analytics partners, and translate data into clear strategic insights
- Proficiency in media planning tools and data visualization platforms (Excel, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — both written and verbal — with an ability to influence internal teams and client stakeholders
- Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
- Adept at building strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, capable of distilling complex strategies into actionable insights for senior executives and diverse audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Past experience in consumer brands is a plus, especially with emerging brands
- An advanced degree is a plus
