Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. M&T Bank is a financial institution seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II. This role involves monitoring and auditing activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations, identifying trends, and recommending solutions to enhance processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and/or complete audits of activities of a complex nature within an assigned area of the Bank to ensure adherence to internal policies and processes and external regulations
- Identify issues of non-compliance and communicate to appropriate parties as well as the individual employee as warranted to prevent future recurrence
- Maintain records of discovered deficiencies. Complete regular reporting on these activities. Identify trends in the data and recommend changes in policies and processes to address these
- Maintain a current knowledge of the policies, processes and regulations affecting monitoring and/or auditing activities to ensure validity of analyses and findings
- Identify potential areas for process or procedural improvements. Make recommendations and assist in implementing those approved
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced personnel
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Skills
- Associates' degree and a minimum of 2 years' work experience in the area supported, or in lieu of a degree a combined minimum of 4 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' work experience in the area supported
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet, word processing, database and presentation software
- Detail-oriented
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience providing written or verbal feedback
