The Network Engineering Manager provides operational leadership and technical expertise for network design and implementation to support IT modernization for multiple Air Force and Space Force bases globally.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical planning with the chief architect and implementation manager to ensure an appropriate execution across the survey, design, and implementation phases
- Develop and allocate a team of subordinate technical network engineers to perform work remotely, at the home office, or at site
- Provide human and material resource inputs to the financial team to support the estimate at completion and other financial estimates
- Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) to coordinate base access, clearance, escorts, personnel and equipment to ensure project tasks can be completed on time
- Assist the PM with ensuring clear, consistent, timely and accurate communications are maintained with internal and external project stakeholders
- Provide input into the network design and technical recommendations to the program and operation teams
- Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including contract and subcontractor management
- Supervises assigned staff, may include subordinate supervisors and managers including NIL Management
- Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting
- Perform detailed technical services on assigned tasks
- Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload
- Provides input into risk tracking process
- Attends customer meetings and serves as primary network engineering liaison
- Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff
- Coordinates development of deliverables and products
- Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
- Reviews project requirements and develop strategies for future work

- 5 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required: Yes
- Bachelor of Science (equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- 10+ years' experience managing various aspects of enterprise IT projects in the DoW environment
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual teaming environment
- Thorough understanding of Wired, Wireless, and general IT functions
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, documents and governmental regulations
- Strong commitment to a team environment and the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Security Clearance Level: Secret Level Clearance required
- Required Certification: Security+ CE or 8140 equivalent
- Location: Oklahoma City (Preferred)
