Key Responsibilities • Provide direct individual and group therapy to clients, fostering a therapeutic alliance grounded in trust and respect. • Complete thorough and timely documentation of client progress and treatment sessions in compliance with agency and licensing standards, utilizing digital record-keeping systems. • Engage in interdisciplinary communication by attending mandatory meetings and contributing to treatment team strategies, ensuring cohesive care plans that lead to effective patient recovery. • Assist in program development and the design of engaging on-unit therapeutic activities to enhance client involvement. • Consult on individual patient cases to help formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to client needs. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of clients who seek help for mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your role will allow you to guide individuals on their path toward healing, employing behavioral therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that address root issues while promoting resilience. Qualifications • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California. • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders. • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. • A deep understanding of psychopharmacology and a collaborative spirit to work alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
