The Lead Product Insights Analyst will play a pivotal role in analyzing user behavior and market trends to inform product strategy and enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product analytics by defining metrics, designing measurement frameworks, and delivering actionable insights that inform product strategy and business decisions
- Analyze user behavior and product performance to identify adoption trends, engagement drivers, retention opportunities, friction points, and areas for product improvement
- Partner with Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams to establish success metrics, embed instrumentation requirements into feature development, and measure outcomes after launch
- Develop and maintain self-service analytics solutions including dashboards, reporting, and KPI frameworks that provide real-time visibility into product health and business performance
- Translate product data into strategic recommendations by combining usage insights, market intelligence, competitive trends, and customer research to influence roadmap priorities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to connect product outcomes with business results, partnering with Go-to-Market, Commercial Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to link product usage, customer value, retention, and revenue impact
- Communicate complex findings to diverse audiences by synthesizing data from multiple sources, proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities, and delivering clear recommendations to executive and cross-functional stakeholders
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related data role – ideally in a B2B SaaS environment with exposure to complex, multi-product platforms
- Expert-level SQL skills
- Proficiency with a BI visualization tool
- Ability to build production-grade dashboards stakeholders actually use
- Strong Excel skills for ad-hoc modeling and fast-turn analyses
- Hands-on experience with a product analytics platform
- Strong grounding in statistical analysis and data interpretation
- Ability to synthesize competitive and market data alongside internal product data
- Comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to scope an ill-defined problem, identify the right analytical approach, and deliver a clear answer under deadline
- Tableau strongly preferred
- Pendo strongly preferred
- GCP/BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar
