Waynes Pest Control is part of Anticimex Inc, and they are seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to play a crucial role in the Accounting Department. The role involves maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with various finance-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform various month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support Finance team members with reporting and analysis needs
- Assist with internal control reviews and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with cash management and corporate credit card expense reconciliation
- Assist with internal & external financial statement audits, and tax audits
- Perform ad hoc projects as assigned throughout the year
- Provide backup for other roles within the accounting department
- Be a contributor to routine monthly and quarterly management reporting deliverables
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounting or finance related role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the US)
- US employment eligibility without visa sponsorship
- Ability to keep and maintain confidential information
- Ability to change focus frequently, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
