LindFast Solutions Group (LSG), a Nautic Partners portfolio company, is seeking a driven and analytical Inventory & Procurement Sr. Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. The selected candidate will lead LSG’s capability to conduct strategic Make vs. Buy decisions and work with external vendors to optimize inventory levels and reduce total cost of ownership.
Responsibilities
- Decision Analysis: Develop total cost models comparing internal manufacturing costs against external supplier quotes
- Capacity Evaluation: Partner with LSG operations on production capacity, machine utilization, and labor constraints during the make vs. buy decision process
- Risk Management: Partner with LSG Supply Chain teams to evaluate supplier lead times, financial stability, and geopolitical risks for outsourced components
- Inventory Optimization: Set safety stock and min-max targets for Make items while transitioning items each month between external supplier purchasing and in-house production
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and Production Scheduling to execute sourcing transitions
- Performance Tracking: Measure and report on the post-implementation financial variance of make-or-buy decisions
Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Finance, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, strategic sourcing, or cost accounting within a light manufacturing or distribution environment
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in working with Inventory Optimization solutions, either within ERP or external solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder, Relex, GAINs). Direct experience setting inventory optimization parameters in GAINS preferred
- Analytical Skills: Strong data manipulation skills, including MS Office, SQL experience and proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
- Certifications: APICS/ASCM (CPIM or CSCP) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certifications
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of Inventory Optimization, replenishment, and service. Light manufacturing, kitting, distribution preferred
