Respondology is the AI-powered social engagement platform that modernizes how social marketers moderate, listen to, and respond to comments at scale. They are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on platform infrastructure and the Respond product, managing engineers and ensuring high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery accountability across your teams
- Coach engineers on craft, ownership, and growth with direct, specific feedback
- Be the primary engineering voice in planning and roadmap conversations with Product
- Provide light hands-on support for prototypes, bug fixes, and performance work when the team needs a boost
- Surface and resolve blockers fast; escalate the ones that require VP-level involvement
- Reduce single points of failure and knowledge silos as the team grows
Skills
- 4+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of on-time, high-quality delivery
- Experience managing engineers working on production AI/ML or LLM-integrated systems
- Strong prioritization instincts, be comfortable making calls with incomplete information
- Clear, direct communicator across written, verbal, async, and sync contexts
- Demonstrated ability to build productive, trusted relationships with Product counterparts
- Enough technical depth to understand what your team is building, ask the right questions, and spot when something's off
- Startup experience with high ownership expectations is a strong plus
