Luminis Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This client-facing role requires strong leadership, financial management, and scheduling expertise while building lasting relationships with customers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain full financial responsibility for assigned projects
- Manage costs, revenue, billings, projections, margins, commitments, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Analyze project performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare project estimates and change order pricing
- Identify project scope and scope gaps
- Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Negotiate change orders with clients
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Coordinate with the General Contractor's schedule
- Utilize scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
- Work closely with field leadership to ensure deadlines, manpower, and budgets remain aligned
- Lead project teams while defining roles and responsibilities
- Develop employee skills through coaching, feedback, and training
- Effectively manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Foster collaboration across departments and regional teams
- Follow established company processes and procedures
- Utilize project management and financial software platforms
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Balance customer satisfaction with protecting company interests
- Delegate responsibilities effectively
- Conduct productive meetings
- Promote continuous improvement and professional development
Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing electrical construction projects
- Proven experience managing projects valued over $10 million
- Experience preparing take-offs and change order estimates
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction practices
- Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams
- Strong computer proficiency with the ability to quickly learn new software
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience with project scheduling and task delegation
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
