Cane Connects is seeking an experienced Distributor Enablement Specialist to support and grow strategic distributor partnerships while driving profitable growth throughout the Sacramento, Central Valley, and Northern Nevada territory. The role focuses on developing large end-user opportunities, strengthening distributor relationships, and identifying new growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop strong relationships with distribution partners to drive profitable growth
- Create and execute joint business plans with key distributor accounts
- Negotiate and collaborate with distribution partners to achieve sales objectives
- Translate sales strategies into territory-specific action plans
- Partner closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and Supply Chain
- Educate distribution partners and end users on product solutions and best practices
- Support distributor sales representatives through product training and ongoing education
- Work alongside segment sales teams to identify and close new end-user opportunities
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and key performance metrics
- Manage customer relationships and respond to day-to-day business needs
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline utilizing CRM tools
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)
- 3–5 years of outside sales experience
- 2–3 years of account management experience
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to travel approximately 30% throughout the territory
- Strong experience working with distributors or channel partners preferred
- Experience using CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office
