Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PrescriberPoint is a Series A healthtech firm focused on improving the prescribing journey for healthcare professionals. They are seeking a Director of Business Development with extensive experience in selling technology to the commercial pharmaceutical industry, responsible for driving sales growth of Patient Services solutions.
Responsibilities
- Generate, pursue and close opportunities focusing on key decision-makers from patient services, market access, brand, and marketing teams
- Conduct engaging presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the benefits and value of our solutions geared to the specific functional needs of our clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, specifically marketing, to develop brand-specific presentations and proposals
- Serve as a data denizen, intentionally updating, leveraging, and proactively evolving our CRM system (Hubspot) and related AI tools
- Developing a robust understanding of our solutions and how they impact our client’s needs and metrics
Skills
- Grounded experience selling into pharma, specifically patient services and access teams, is a MUST have
- Dynamic and results-oriented Director of Business Development with pronounced experience in selling technology to the commercial pharmaceutical industry
- Driving sales growth of Patient Services solutions
- Tested consultative selling skills
- In-depth knowledge of commercial infrastructure
- Strong understanding of current technologies
- Ability to effectively position product features, benefits, and value to diverse stakeholders

- Ability to creatively sell complex solutions by understanding and navigating sophisticated sales journeys
- Exceptional networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, clients, and internal staff
- Ability to leverage existing relationships to drive business growth in both new and existing accounts
- In-depth understanding of the industry, market dynamics, agencies, and competitive landscape
- Ability to conduct market research and use data to drive business decisions
- Expertise in negotiating deals, partnerships, and contracts
- Proven track record of closing complex business deals
- The ability to plan, prioritize, pivot, project manage, make decisions, update, and delegate as appropriate to meet defined timelines and workstreams and then execute
- Strong understanding of the HCP-related technology providers, market dynamics, and industry trends
- Successful sales experience servicing commercial pharmaceutical needs; topical management consulting backgrounds are also looked on kindly
- Available and yearn for in-person meetings
- Adept at and committed to embracing CRM systems (Hubspot)
- SaaS focus is nice to have but not mandatory
- Generative AI exposure is required; Agentic AI exposure is a big plus
- Experience working with agencies is a plus
- Startup/early stage experience a big plus
- Preferred Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus
