Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is seeking a CONTRACT Billing Operations Assistant for an assignment with a leading international law firm. This role involves supporting a billing transformation project through user acceptance testing, quality control, and system validation, providing an opportunity for early-career professionals to gain experience in legal billing and finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts and scenarios
- Perform quality control reviews and validate system functionality
- Identify, document, and communicate system issues or discrepancies
- Review billing-related workflows and outputs for accuracy
- Assist with testing of new paperless billing processes and enhancements
- Track results and maintain testing documentation in spreadsheets and project tools
- Support change management initiatives as the firm transitions to new technology
- Collaborate with billing, finance, and project teams to ensure successful implementation
- Provide feedback on process improvements and user experience
Skills
- 1-2 years of billing, finance, accounting, legal support, or related professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Comfortable working within Excel and tracking data in spreadsheets
- Ability to follow detailed testing scripts and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- Legal industry experience is a plus
- Experience with Elite 3E is helpful but not required
- Customer service experience is a plus
