Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Diverse Lynx is seeking a Content Writer to develop and maintain a structured content strategy for Umbraco CMS. The role involves overseeing content management, collaborating with teams, and ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a structured content strategy tailored for Umbraco CMS
- Work closely with product, design, and development teams to plan content updates and new content initiatives
- Define content governance rules, taxonomy, metadata, and page templates
- Oversee creation, editing, publishing, and maintenance of website content using Umbraco CMS
- Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines, SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and quality benchmarks
- Recreating web pages on the basis of already existing ones
- Revising the web content for words including regional spelling variations, typos, outdated information and significant content details like regional differences or currencies
- Optimizing the images used across the website, using given web tools
- Converting images to specified formats
- Creating SEO friendly alt texts to the images on website
- Setting correct image cropping using CMS or external tools
- Visual adjustment of migrated web pages, including CSS styling done with visual UI (no coding is required)
- Act as the primary point of contact for content requests from various business units
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers to ensure layouts and components support content needs
- Conduct regular content review sessions with stakeholders for approvals and feedback
- Maintain content workflows, review processes, and permissions within Umbraco
- Perform regular content audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and removal of outdated content
- Monitor and optimize site performance metrics related to content (page speed, engagement, SEO trends)
- Lead and mentor content editors, writers, and junior CMS users
- Conduct training sessions for new stakeholders on Umbraco features and content workflows
- Drive continuous improvement in content operations and CMS usage
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, IT, or a related field
- 6–10 years of experience in CMS content management, preferably with Umbraco
- Previous experience in digital content strategy, content production, or website operations
- Strong hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS (content editing, component management, workflows)
- Excellent knowledge of written English, and the ability to proofread given content
- Web page style analysis using Chrome dev tools (checking font properties, padding values, etc.)
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, web accessibility (WCAG), and content best practices
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working in large-scale, multi-brand or multi-region websites
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and website structure
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum workflows
