Journey is the leading proactive mental health solution for modern companies, and they are seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their Consultant Relations team. This role focuses on identifying and engaging employee benefits consultants while supporting the growth of Journey's consultant channel.
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage employee benefits consultants, brokers, and consulting leaders across key firms and markets
- Use multi-channel outreach across email, LinkedIn, phone, and other creative channels to book meetings and events for Journey's Consultant Relations team
- Build awareness of Journey's proactive mental health solution and educate consultants on how Journey differs from traditional EAPs and behavioral health vendors
- Coordinate consultant office events, educational sessions, webinars, and other relationship-building opportunities
- Develop personalized outreach strategies tailored to consulting firms, offices, and individual consultants
- Partner closely with Consultant Relations Directors to prioritize target firms, accounts, and markets
- Maintain accurate CRM records and prospecting activity within Salesforce and related sales tools
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for consultant meetings booked and events secured
Skills
- 2+ years experience in an outbound sales role (SDR, BDR, or similar) at a high-growth company
- A proactive and creative approach to building relationships and engaging consultants, brokers, and other external partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, personalized messages
- High sense of urgency and resilience- thrives in fast-paced environments
- The ability to build credibility, navigate professional relationships, and tailor outreach effectively to different consulting firms and stakeholders
- A collaborative, proactive team player who can work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Operations and Partnerships
- Experience with sales and prospecting tools including Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc
- Experience working with employee benefits consultants, brokers, HR leaders, or within the employee benefits ecosystem
