UW Health is the #1 hospital in Wisconsin, seeking a Compliance Analyst to manage high-risk reimbursement audits and ensure compliance across their billing systems. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, utilizing coding expertise, and leveraging data analytics to identify and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Audit high risk reimbursement issues for both professional and facility billing across all of UW Health (Madison, Northern Illinois, and joint ventures)
- Utilize in depth knowledge of CPT/ICD10 coding to assess, research, educate, and problem solve complex issues/questions
- Work with key stakeholders across the organization on projects and actively participate in meetings/workgroups
- Ability to be proficient in data analytics programs, systems, and databases to identify risks and track audit findings
- Responsible for compliance audits of billing providers and facilities
Skills
- Graduate of a Medical Coding Program
- 3 years of related coding or auditing experience in a health care setting
- Experience with third-party reimbursement and billing systems
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in a health care related field
- 5 years multi-specialty physician/hospital coding experience in an academic medical center
- Experience interacting with physicians/hospital staff regarding coding requirements
