About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing process, ensuring timely and accurate submission and processing of client invoices and insurance claims. You will also research and resolve provider and client inquiries in a timely and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire weekly bill cycle, ensuring error-free completion
- Conduct client and guarantor welcome orientations on insurance and billing processes
- Maintain communication with clients on billing status and resolve inquiries
- Manage client accounts, identify inconsistencies, and create and send invoices
- Accurately prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance companies
- Post insurance and patient payments, and follow up on open or denied claims
- Collaborate with clients, insurance companies, and team members to resolve billing issues
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in billing, preferably in the medical field
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills
- Medical billing experience, including insurance company follow-up and balance billing
- Understanding of billing codes, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills
