They are seeking a B2B Sales Representative who is motivated by performance and has experience in building relationships to sell cybersecurity and compliance services to businesses across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities across the U.S
- Build relationships with founders, business owners, executives, operators, referral partners, and decision-makers
- Prospect through LinkedIn, networking, referrals, business groups, events, direct outreach, and strategic partnerships
- Qualify potential clients based on cybersecurity risk, compliance needs, insurance requirements, vendor security questionnaires, audit pressure, and business fit
- Communicate Smart Biz iT’s value in simple, business-focused terms
- Identify buying signals such as upcoming audits, client security requirements, cyber insurance renewals, regulatory concerns, recent incidents, or vendor risk reviews
- Coordinate discovery conversations and handoffs with the Smart Biz iT team
- Maintain organized notes, pipeline activity, follow-ups, and opportunity updates
- Build long-term relationships that can turn into repeat business, referrals, and expansion opportunities
Skills
- Have B2B sales experience, especially in cybersecurity, compliance, SaaS, managed services, professional services, insurance, risk management, or business services
- Know how to sell to startups, small businesses, and owner-led companies
- Are comfortable prospecting, networking, following up, and building your own pipeline
- Can explain technical or compliance-related services in clear business language
- Understand how risk, trust, client requirements, audits, and insurance pressure influence buying decisions
- Are organized, consistent, and disciplined with follow-up
- Want unlimited earning potential instead of a capped compensation plan
- Are motivated by performance, ownership, and growth
- Existing relationships with business owners, founders, professional service providers, insurance brokers, accountants, attorneys, consultants, or compliance-driven industries
- Experience selling cybersecurity assessments, compliance readiness, managed security, audit preparation, risk assessments, security awareness training, or related services
- Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, CMMC, PCI, FTC Safeguards, cyber insurance requirements, vendor security reviews, or data privacy expectations
- Experience using a CRM and managing a sales pipeline
- Prior success in a commission-based or performance-based sales role
