The Accountant position is responsible for daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance and data integrity, and collaborating with various teams to improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily accounting operations
- Processing receivables
- Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records related to security deposit transactions
- Preparing journal entries
- Supporting month-end and year-end close
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis to ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations
- Collaborating with support, development teams, and customer success teams to resolve transaction discrepancies
- Responding to internal and external inquiries about financial data
- Supporting audits or compliance reviews
- Helping improve accounting processes and systems to support DepositCloud’s growth and scalability
Skills
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and journal entry preparation
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP tools, as well as spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) for reporting, analysis, and data validation
- Knowledge of GAAP or relevant accounting standards, and familiarity with internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit support
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend process improvements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
