The Account Manager Associate will support the Ancillary Benefits team by ensuring high-quality service and operational excellence while managing client relationships and proposal processes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Managers and Account Executives to help support and manage an assigned book of business, contributing to new business, renewals, and ongoing service in a collaborative, client-focused environment
- Coordinate Ancillary RFP opportunities from receipt through completion, ensuring materials are prepared, marketed to carrier partners, tracked, and returned to broker partners within established timelines
- Serve as a key point of contact between carriers, Sales Teams, and broker partners, providing clear communication and consultative support throughout the proposal, underwriting, and new business processes
- Manage and track proposal activity, carrier submissions, and marketing efforts, providing timely status updates and follow-up to drive efficient and accurate outcomes
- Organize and prepare marketing results, renewal materials, and supporting documentation; assist Account Executives with broker deliverables and presentations as needed
- Review, prepare, and submit new business and policy change documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing through approval
- Partner with Account Managers to process group changes, including terminations, and resolve routine service needs such as billing, claims, and eligibility updates
- Provide renewal and open enrollment support by preparing plan summaries, rate grids, benefit materials, and value-added deliverables for broker partners
- Maintain a working knowledge of ancillary products, carrier offerings, and underwriting requirements to effectively support internal teams and broker partners
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation within internal systems and adhere to service level expectations (SLAs), escalating risks or delays as appropriate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and carrier contacts, delivering a high level of service and responsiveness
- Participate in team meetings, client interactions, training, and cross-functional initiatives to support team performance and professional development
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree; no experience required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a consistently positive, professional attitude
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, along with the ability to learn and navigate new systems and technology efficiently
