They are seeking an Account Executive to win new higher education business, managing a territory and building a pipeline through various sales strategies.
Responsibilities
- Own a territory of US higher education institutions
- Build your own pipeline through outbound, inbound, and events
- Run discovery and close new logos
- Report directly to the President
- Work alongside marketing, product and customer success
- Take ownership of your territory list and begin your first outbound campaign
- Run your own discovery calls and consistently generate pipeline
- Be comfortable telling the Guidebook EDU story and handling early objections
- Be on the road, meeting prospects face to face on campus and at industry events
Skills
- 2-4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, with a track record of building pipeline and hitting a quota
- Hungry and ambitious; ready to prove yourself and not someone who has settled into cruise control
- Coachable and curious; able to ask good questions, take feedback well, and want a coach and mentor
- Completed university degree and able to speak credibly about how universities and colleges work
- Embrace building your own pipeline with ideal customer targets through outbound; a hunter who builds pipeline from scratch in a systematic way
- Comfortable using Salesforce (or another CRM) to manage your pipeline
- Must be based on the East Coast of the USA and looking to work remotely
- Willingness to travel frequently to industry events, trade shows, and campuses, likely being on the road at least once per month
