Core Responsibilities – What Your Day Will Look Like
As an In‑Home Registered Behavior Technician, you will be the front‑line catalyst for change. Your daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering one‑on‑one ABA therapy sessions in the client’s home, following individualized treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA.
- Collecting accurate behavioral and skill‑acquisition data during each session, entering information into our digital reporting system.
- Implementing discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, and behavioral support strategies as outlined in the client’s program.
- Collaborating closely with a designated BCBA to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and refine intervention strategies on a weekly basis.
- Communicating openly with families, providing clear explanations of therapy goals, session outcomes, and home‑practice recommendations.
- Maintaining professional punctuality, preparedness, and documentation consistency for every scheduled session.
- Adhering to safety protocols, including proper lift techniques, environmental assessments, and infection‑control measures.
Essential Qualifications – The Foundations We Expect

- Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire (we provide the 40‑hour training at no cost).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related field, or active enrollment in a degree program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a 1:1 setting with children, preferably with direct ABA exposure; alternatively, 1‑2 years as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, or similar role.
- Transportation: Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal auto insurance for travel between client homes.
- Physical ability: Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs, bending, kneeling, squatting, and moving quickly (within a 100‑foot radius) to respond to client needs.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal abilities, with a talent for delivering feedback in a compassionate, clear manner.
