Job Summary
As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within our Quality Control department. You will assist in utilizing data to develop, present, and make recommendations for groundbreaking ideas and projects, as well as perform critical analysis to mitigate the risk of non-compliance through process improvements. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control team in timely data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements.
- Helping to create and communicate results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
- Assisting in addressing critical ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging maintenance issues and providing analytical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing task responsibilities.
- Presenting insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to support the relevant points of the analysis and ease stakeholder understanding.
- Helping to develop and distribute specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and validating the need of the data requirements.
- Identifying anomalies in processes through reviews/audits and communicating findings to the team.
- Assessing the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and errors.
- Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
Responsibilities and Duties
The responsibilities and duties of the Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern may include, but are not limited to:
- Data collection, validation, and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Development and presentation of results from complex data and analysis.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
- Utilization of data visualization tools to communicate insights and recommendations.
- Participation in ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this internship, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
- Have a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in data analysis, quality control, or a related field.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or QuickBase (preferred).
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
