Title: Provider Data and Contract Analyst Location: Remote (Must work in one of the following states: AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NV, OK, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI) Job Type: Contract (8 Months) Compensation: $45- $55 per hour W2 Industry: Health Insurance About The Role A leading Minnesota-based nonprofit health plan headquartered in the Twin Cities metro is seeking a Provider Data and Contract Analyst to support a key transformation initiative. This organization serves individuals, families, and employers across the Midwest with a broad portfolio of health insurance products, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans. The Analyst will play a critical role in advancing the organization's efforts to modernize how provider reimbursement information is captured, governed, and made accessible across the enterprise. Job Description The Provider Data and Contract Analyst will be responsible for identifying, reviewing, and organizing provider contract documentation that supports reimbursement methodologies for integration into an AI-enabled centralized rate repository. This work will directly support the client's transformation initiatives by improving the accessibility, consistency, and governance of provider reimbursement information. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with provider contracts and reimbursement structures, including payment methodologies for both facility and professional providers. A strong understanding of how contractual reimbursement terms impact claims adjudication and payment accuracy is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities • Locate, review, and catalog provider contract documents and reimbursement schedules. • Analyze contract language related to reimbursement methodologies and payment terms. • Ensure documentation is accurately organized and prepared for ingestion into the centralized rate repository. • Collaborate with business and operational teams to validate reimbursement information. • Support efforts to improve data quality, transparency, and accessibility of provider payment information. Qualifications Required Qualifications • Experience supporting healthcare claims operations, payment integrity, provider data management, reimbursement analysis, or related functions. • Strong data aptitude with the ability to analyze, validate, and organize large volumes of complex information • Experience working with healthcare reimbursement models, provider fee schedules, and contract interpretation. • Experience researching, reviewing, and cataloging contract documentation and reimbursement-related artifacts. • Ability to query and analyze data from claims payment systems to support business and operational needs. • Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently in a highly focused, detail-oriented environment with minimal supervision. • Strong business acumen and the ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across business and IT teams • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, plus 3+ years of professional experience beyond the degree. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with provider contracting, provider network management, reimbursement analysis, or contract governance. • Knowledge of facility and professional claims payment methodologies. • SQL experience, including writing and executing queries to validate and analyze data. • Experience supporting data migration, repository modernization, or enterprise data transformation initiatives. • Experience performing quality assurance (QA), data validation, or reconciliation activities. • Familiarity with data warehouses and analytics platforms, including querying data stored in Snowflake or similar environments. • Understanding of AI-enabled data management or document extraction initiatives involving structured and unstructured data sources. • Experience working with reimbursement data contained in PDF, Excel, and Word documents. • Ability to support implementation efforts by validating data accuracy, testing outputs, and ensuring information is correctly integrated into enterprise repositories.
