The Role: Operations Specialist, Remote Assistance
As an Operations Specialist, Remote Assistance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our robots on public roads and providing invaluable feedback to our team leads for system improvements. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of robotics and automation in logistics, contributing to a service used by millions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of safety, inclusivity, and open communication within the team, ensuring that operations are conducted with the utmost care and efficiency.
- Become proficient in the software used for Remote Assistance operations, utilizing it to support robots efficiently and address their needs in real-time.
- Collaborate with the team to identify operational inefficiencies and provide actionable feedback to shift leads to continually improve team efficiency and performance.
- Aid operators in their daily activities, ensuring strict adherence to Remote Assistance standards and protocols.
- Work flexible hours/days, including a range from 6AM to 11 PM, Monday through Sunday, to support our around-the-clock operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in autonomous and/or robotics operations, demonstrating a strong background in managing and troubleshooting complex robotic systems.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, and Calendar, to effectively manage data, documents, and communications.
- Excellent communication skills via Slack, both in writing and verbally, to ensure seamless team collaboration and issue resolution.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and perform well under pressure, adapting to the dynamic environment of robotics and automation.
- Well-organized and attentive to detail, with a strong focus on maintaining operational safety and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira or similar issue reporting/ticketing tools to collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress, enhancing operational efficiency.
- A background in debugging and triaging complex systems, such as autonomous robots, to identify and resolve issues promptly.
