Organization:Our Common Home Foundation (part of the Our Common Home Network)

About Our Common Home Network

Our Common Home is a fast-growing global network that brings those left out of the existing climate movement into the conversation about how to protect their environment, on their own terms. We are a network of 20 entities worldwide, with a team of over 120 people, working across diverse political and cultural contexts.

Our network partners, based in critical nations around the world, work to take climate and environment out of the polarization dynamics that increasingly undermine the possibility of achieving the broad support needed for effective environmental action.

We are driven by respect for ordinary people whose values or way of life leave them excluded from the current climate and environment debate. We seek to build trust with these audiences, and we do this by partnering with the institutions they trust. Together with these partners, we run campaigns that build new solutions and approaches to climate change and environmental issues that are more rooted in the lives, values and priorities of ordinary people. By doing so, we create the political space required for lasting action.

The Role

Our Common Home Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) in Delaware. While it has minimal independent operations, it serves a critical function as the US hiring and compliance platform for employees supporting our global network.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations & Legal Administrator with paralegal training to manage the foundational, legal, and administrative health of this US entity. This is a highly varied, part-time role requiring a mix of rigorous compliance management and high-level executive assistance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal, Governance & Board Administration

2. Operational Coordination & US Administration

3. Executive & Secretarial Support

Qualifications & Experience

What We Offer

This is a flexible part-time position estimated at approximately 16 hours per week. While we anticipate a relatively consistent weekly workload, some flexibility in scheduling is expected depending on board meetings, filing deadlines, or occasional operational needs.

We are open to engaging the successful candidate either as an independent contractor or part-time employee, depending on profile, location, and legal feasibility.

Candidates should ideally have reasonable overlap with US East Coast working hours.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and structure of engagement, with an anticipated range of approximately USD 45-70 per hour.
